Mid 2008 oil painting.

The idea was simply to paint with oils and see what happened. As you can see this is the result.

This picture I painted end of 2009, although the base drawing was done a year or so before..

Its acrylic on loose canvas about 1200mm x 2100mm in size.

As the title will suggest it is about nature being the ultimate force. On the left there is a city, decaying as it nears the middle third and blooms as a woodland on the right. The fire in the sky is a dramatic representation of what mankind is doing to the planet and skies.
